Dr. Foster's research focuses on the structuring, functionalization, and fundamental mechanisms of reinforcement and deformation in polymers and bio-based materials, with applications in the design of novel implantable and lightweight materials, 3D printing, and a range of responsive “smart-polymers/materials" technologies.
